Japan has always been a place where you could find unimaginably creepy things. I do not know is it because of their culture or what but from time to time we have oportunity to hear about really incredible things from this part of the world.

Today we are going to talk about one location which is awesome and creepy at the same time. The Kori no Suizokukan is frozen aquarium. It is a place where you can find about few hundreds of frozen animals from different seas.

Animals are frozen and placed in ice cubes. If you want to visit this place you’ll have to use a special suit which keeps you warm since the temperatures in this place are lower than -20 degrees Celsius.

After you are done with the visit you can warm up in Maguro Shashimi restaurant which is few steps away from this frozen aquarium.

The First Detailed Images Of Antarctica Landscape That Is Hiding Beneath The Ice

Do you know what is hiding miles beneath the icy surface in Antarctica? Scientists have finally managed to visualize a landscape that is hiding under an ice sheet.

Scientist used a ground-penetrating radar in last two years to create most detailed images of a Antarctica landscape that is hiding beneath the ice. Images that are result of surface scanning revealed a landscape with a number of a roughly peaks that are up to 2600 meters tall.

This project was called Gamburtsev Province Project and it is a part of the International Polar Year science program. The study was lead by a geophysicist Robin Bell of Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.

Harbin Ice And Snow World – Town Made Out of Ice And Snow

Harbin Ice and Snow World is probably one of the world’s hottest entertaining destinations right now, even if it is made out of ice and snow.

Harbin is located in northeastern China. This is whole town made out of snow and ice and it is also called Ice-made Disneyland.

This is not like seeing your average ice sculpture that you may have seen in other parts of the world,maybe you have seen a sculpture when you have been staying in Liverpool hotels or you have been to the Icebar in London. This, however, is truly a unique experience that will take your breathe away, and not just because it’s so cold!

It covers more than 400.000 square meters and it is built of 120.000 cubic meters of ice and 100.000 cubic meters of snow.

You can find there hotels, bars, football and golf playing fields and all of that is made out of ice and snow. It is hard not to wonder how this investiment can be profitable if all of this is going to melt in summer.
