Hong Kong roads are different from the rest of roads in China. Hong Kong, the former British colony has kept the British tradition to drive on the right side of the road. However, when you want to connect such place with the rest of the “normal” world which is driving on the left side of the road, you have to have a crossing point specially designed for that.

Here you can see a number of projects which were submitted by architects to a competition for the construction of the Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities.

One of those is The Flipper Bridge and it is used to safely connect the roads where people drive on the left side and the roads where people drive on the right side.

It is amazing how some of those cities have become so huge, jammed up with hundreds of skyscapers and other buildings. But, as it always use to be, the true shine of every city can be seen only in the night.

Pierre Capati is photographer who has created a series of astonishing photos of big cities in Malaysia, Singapore, Taipei and Hong Kong.

He managed to capture amazing view of those cities, and like he wants to show us how the life in those sparkling places does not lose on its intensity at the night and it even may be that those places are becoming even more alive at the night.

Those who know how to operate them can make amazing and entertaining shows.

Marionette dolls are often small so they can fit in pocket or some smaller box but the following marionette which you are about to see is a little bit different and it definitely cannot fit in your pocket no matter how deep it is

This is the world’s largest Santa Claus marionette and this is confirmed by the Guiness Book of Records. It is 11 meters tall and it can be operated from an operating board. It is placed in Torres Vedras near Lisabon in Portugal.

Today we are going to talk about one location which is awesome and creepy at the same time. The Kori no Suizokukan is frozen aquarium. It is a place where you can find about few hundreds of frozen animals from different seas.

Animals are frozen and placed in ice cubes. If you want to visit this place you’ll have to use a special suit which keeps you warm since the temperatures in this place are lower than -20 degrees Celsius.

After you are done with the visit you can warm up in Maguro Shashimi restaurant which is few steps away from this frozen aquarium.

Say “cruise vacation” and one of two things will usually come to mind. Either a group of barely intelligible, completely inebriated college students, half dressed and headed towards Mexico on Spring Break, or a boatful of parents and small children, napping and coloring their vacation away on a floating amusement park. Now there’s nothing wrong with that kind of getaway, but if you’re craving something with a little more culture, it probably doesn’t exactly sound like a dream come true. However, that doesn’t mean that you should give up on the idea of a vacation afloat just yet. Have you considered a European cruise?

If there is any part of the world that is almost tailor-made to be enjoyed from the deck of a ship, it’s Europe. Europe cruises eliminate a lot of the logistical and transportation challenges of driving or flying through this part of the world, while maximizing your exposure to beautiful scenery and amazing destinations. Plus, you’re guaranteed a luxurious room and amazing cuisine every night. But be warned, once you take your first cruise vacation, you will be hooked:

1. The Eastern Mediterranean

Many Europe cruises depart from Civitavecchia, the port for Rome. Eastern Med itineraries are an explorer’s dream come true, as they typically visit dream cities like Venice, Ephesus, and the sun drenched Greek Islands. Some Eastern Mediterranean and Europe Cruises also include trips to Egypt and Israel, making them once in a lifetime excursions.

2. The Western Mediterranean

If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing the western Italian coast, southern rim of France, Portugal, or coastal Spain, then the Western Mediterranean Europe cruises are your best bets. These cruises, which stop at such amazing destinations as Monte Carlo, Lisbon, and Barcelona, have the added bonus of being easier on the budget than a traditional European vacation. (Food, transportation, entertainment and lodging are all included—leaving you with a little extra sightseeing and souvenir cash)

3. East/ West Med Combinations

If you have the time and budget, you can always book back to back eastern and western Mediterranean cruises. Whether on the same ship or two different ones, this is the consummate way to see the best that this part of the world has to offer.

4. Baltic Cruising

When it comes to Europe cruises, nothing provides more diversity and artistry than a trip through the Baltic region. Once almost unheard of, these cruises are gaining popularity among people looking to experience the unparalleled natural beauty of the fjords (along with the areas culture and history) for themselves. Highlights of Baltic European cruises include stops in St. Petersburg and Copenhagen.

5. European River Cruising

For the more seasoned traveler, why not bypass the major cities and explore a European country’s more intimate rivers and waterways. River cruising is slower paced, and allows you to visit smaller villages and enjoy spectacular country sides that you normally would never get to see. Think a river cruise means you’ll be roughing it? Think again. Most European river cruise ships include all of the amenities—from well appointed cabins to lounges and gourmet restaurants.

Maho Beach is one of those beaches where people not go primarily because they want to enjoy in ordinary beach activities like swimming and enjoying in sun. This beach gives their visitors a little bit different but really unique experience.

Maho Beach can be found in St Maarten island in Netherlands Antilles. The most impressive “feature” of this unique location is Princess Juliana International Airport which is located just a few feet away from the beach.

This unusually small distance from beach forces pilots of airplanes to fly very low over the beach in order to land properly. The problem is that beach is too close to the landing spot so airplanes are flying just few meters over tourists heads.

For those who come here just to enjoy in beach this will probably be annoying thing and little bit horrifying too. But most of tourists come there to enjoy in excitement when huge jet aircraft passes over their heads.

It’s a huge statue of one of the characters from Gundam anime movie designed by Yoshiyuki Tomino.

Istanbul is one of the world’s most amazing and most beautiful cities where millions of people are living their everyday lives. It is amazing mixture of cultures with very warm and welcoming people.

One of the most amazing things is that in most parts of Istanbul it is hard to notice some differences between classes in society. It is a place where everyone is poor and everyone is rich.

Istanbul and few of other cities in Turkey are unique place in Europe where you still can find street-workers who are managing to live from their jobs. There is a lot of shoe-cleaners, newspaper sellers, food and drink sellers and many other professions all of them done on street. On streets of Istanbul you can buy almost everything without any need to enter some shop.

It is important to notice that people in Istanbul are great fans of tea and they are tea-drinking nation.

Dennis Ziliotto is Italian freelance photographer who has been traveling to Istanbul with his camera and he has took those amazing photos where you can see some of many faces of usual people from Istambul, many of them are street-workers and small businessmen.
