Cat S60: World’s First Smartphone With Built-In Thermal Camera

Bullitt is a British company which has announced the world’s first smartphone with built-in thermal camera. The Cat (Caterpillar) S60 model will use FLIR’s thermal camera technology.

The Cat S60 itself is a rugged smartphone designed to survive extreme conditions. It has a 4.7-inch Gorilla Glass screen which can survive falls from 1.8 meters height and phone is waterproof at the depth up to 5 meters. Regarding the camera, the phone has two of them, one is regular 13 MP camera and the other one is already mentioned FLIR’s thermal imaging camera. With this phone you can see objects at night, through smoke or fog.

It also has built in 32-gb of memory, 3GB of RAM, Qualcom Sapdragon 617 processor, 5 MP front camera and runs Android Marshmallow which makes this phone decent replace for fancy iPhones or Samsungs at the announced $599 price. The Cat S60 would launch in summer, this year.
