Pedal-Powered Scubster Submarine Takes Its First Dive

Few months ago a Russian company called Marine Inovative Tehcnologies has developed and patented a design of pedal powered submarine. The submarine could transport two persons and could dive about 30 meters in depth.

However, it was pretty expensive solution and there had to be two persons in it to provide enough power for diving.

Scubster submarine which is designed by Stephane Rousson is pedal-powered submarine and here you can see some photos from its testing which has been done on July 28 in France.

This submarine looks way cheaper and simpler than MIT’s. It is built from carbon fiber but it can dive only about 5 meters in depth.
