It is Not Handshake, it is Pre-Handshake!

There is a lot of people out there, especially in the world of politics, who can’t look at each other and who even do not want to shake their hands, however, sometimes they can’t avoid those formalities. In order to provide a platform which will enable people with confronted beliefs to do the formality of handshaking, Dominic Wilcox has created a pre-handshake device.

Dominic Wilcox is an artist from London who likes to say that he works ‘within territory of the everyday’.

Describing this little bit unusual device, he says that traditional handshake can sometimes bee too big step for those entrenched in their dislike of the other.

“No matter how important it is for two people to reconcile their differences they simply can’t get over their pride and lower themselves to the symbolism of a handshake with the other party”, Dominic claims.

So, he created the device which will enable confronted sides to establish some official contacts and they are able to do a pre-handshake which is theoretically not a handshake because, they are not touching each other directly, the whole process is done inside a glass box with rubber gloves. The device is pretty similar to those which can be found in laboratories where scientists handle with extremely dangerous substances.

Dominic encourages anyone who has fallen with their friend or some relative, business partner or political opponent, to use this pre-handshake device and ‘let bygones be bygones’.
