Green Walls

In the future, Brisbane skyscrapers could be enveloped in a tight-gripped tangle of green vegetation – but it won’t be the Day of the Triffids-style apocolypse you might imagine.

The Queensland Government has just signed a deal with the Singapore National Parks Board that could see scientists grow plants on the walls and roofs of the sunshine state’s high rise buildings to reduce heat and improve air quality. [source]
